Summer: Recreational Respite Overnight Camp

The Recreational Respite is especially for the child who wants to get away for a week and be in the midst of some amazing nature. Campers will get to relax in the mountains and enjoy nature at its best.
Campers will get to enjoy exploring trails and relaxing by the lake. Our campsite is well equipped with boating, swimming, water slides, miniature golf, shuffleboard, basketball court, basketball challenge area, badminton, playground, and more. In the cabin, we have foosball, board games, cards, karaoke, and more. We also will have some crafts supplies, songbooks, and frisbees, soccer balls, bocce, and more. We even have water squirters for water fun!
We are surrounded by beautiful nature for hiking and appreciation. We can enjoy star gazing at night as well as roasting marshmallows and making smores by the campfire. Campers can enjoy the amazing array of opportunities that await us at our campsite and beyond. We may never leave our campsite with so much to do there, or we may choose together to venture out on a special day excursion. We could explore down the river, hike to a majestic waterfall, visit and help at an animal sanctuary, and more. We will ultimately have a good night’s sleep in our cabin each night. Our cabin is at a rustic but well equipped campsite in the Poconos.
We will make some of our healthy, conscious meals at our cabin. We will enjoy roasting marshmallows, making smores, and snacking on a multitude of healthy, conscious goodies. For those of us who like to eat and like to eat well, we will always have plenty of good choices available.
We may tell some stories in our cabin or by the fire - positive, uplifting, inspirational stories - not ghost stories! We do not believe in telling stories that are designed to scare and create insecurity. Camp Exploration has always been focused on nothing but the most positive of values. We are especially focused on helping campers build their self-esteem, their positive relations with others, and their understanding of their important role in the world. Even with the songs we sing – at the campsite, in the van, and sometimes even in any random place we are – we are conscious of the lyrics and messages. No matter where we are and what we are doing, Camp Exploration is fully focused on helping our campers grow to become more conscious and caring human beings.
The Recreational Respite will truly be a wonderful week away for the child who loves to have many opportunities to play, relax, and grow consciously together.
